Dr. Elisabeth "Liz" Flores

ELISABETH FLORES, D.C. Sep 9, 1972 - Mar 2, 2005

Dr. Elisabeth "Liz" Flores was born in Modesto, CA on September 9, 1972, to Rodolfo and Martha Flores. She was raised there with her parents and three sisters until they relocated to Bakersfield where she graduated from high school in 1990. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from California State University, Fresno, she went on to earn a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic West in the Bay Area. While enrolled in chiropractic school, she met the love of her life, Dr. Stone Beck. They married in 1998 and moved to Fresno in 2000 to open their clinic, Tower Chiropractic. Elisabeth loved spending time with her husband, her parents, her sisters, her sister-in-law, her two dogs Mojito and Carlo whom she called her "boys", and countless family and friends. Always cognizant of her many blessings, Elisabeth truly appreciated everyone and everything in her life, and let everyone for whom she cared for know how much they were valued. Elisabeth's philosophy toward life was straight forward. Her favorite saying was "Flow love, baby" as Elisabeth always tried to surround herself with positive, happy thoughts and people. She sincerely felt that everyone's purpose on Earth involved "loving each other, being happy and that's it!" She was creative, beautiful, witty, loving, stylish, and was always considered the ideal role model by her three sisters, Veronica, Claudia, and Martha. Her unconditional support and encouragement served as a constant reminder that she was a pillar to the whole family. Elisabeth was full of joy every day, and exuded grace in her desire to contribute her unique and wonderful human qualities to those outside her family as well. With her gentle touch and healing hands, she helped thousands of her chiropractic patients to live pain free. Her life's passion was helping people and one felt better just by seeing her smile or hearing her laugh. She often referred to her patients as her "kids" and was alway available for a "quick adjustment," just because she cared so much for her patients' well being. Among her many activities, Elisabeth recently got certified in scuba diving, she loved to ride her bike in the Fresno sun and was an active member of the Junior League. Her guilty pleasures included shopping, buying shoes, watching reality television and drinking diet cream soda. Never a holiday passed that Elisabeth did not celebrate with gusto, but her absolute favorite was Halloween. Every October was a festive time at her home. She really knew how to entertain and her gatherings were always warm, cheerful occasions. Our fond memories of Elisabeth are many and varied, proof certain that she lived an entire lifetime in only 32 years. The way in which she lived her life, with zealous compassion, love, and integrity, inspired others to become better human beings. She was the best daughter, sister, wife, and friend imaginable. Elisabeth, we will miss you every day, but what you taught us about love and life will be with us always. Elisabeth is survived by her husband, Dr. Stone Beck; her parents, Rodolfo and Martha Flores; her sisters, Veronica Flores, Claudia Flores and Martha Flores; father-in-law, Daryl Beck and his wife Sherrie; mother-in-law Joy Rassmussen; sister-in-law, Kerri L. Beck and her partner Mary Quinn; and many other beloved family members in California, Texas and Mexico.
